Let's put an end to these numerous requests for LSD tree info by reposting
the LSD tree structure...many people (including myself) have missed this
and would appreciate a repost. Thanks

among many other good points about PHiSH; Phillip Byers states:
|i think [the title for the live album] should be a one word title(lawnboy,
|junta,hoist,rift...i know, i know "what about picture of nectar?")maybe the
|title should be something ridiculoud like dumb, or television, or coat, or
|vacuum, or meadow. i just think it should be one word
{other stuff deleted}
i totally agree with this one word idea; not to jump into an old topic, but i
think that one, singularly important word, should be ridiculous, but should
also have some meaning; the worsd with all the power--the title to PHiSH's
first _official_ live album;i could only be(no! not Icculus) "Watsiyem"
how more perfect could one word be to describe not only the music, but the
scene, along with the quirkiness of the band.

I am looking for a Hq tape of the 7/13/94 show from Pattersonville, NY
(Big Birch). It is the one with Wilson played to the tune of Cavern and the
crazy Suzy->Slave->Suzy. I have some Hq fall shows to offer, as well as the
NYE run. Please e-mail me personally and we can work out a trade.

Many people on the phish net have been sucked in by bad traders, such as
jpenn??@aol.com. You all should now that America Online and many other
services offer free trial accounts for a limited amount of time (in AOL's
case, 10 hours). Alot of unscrupulous people are taking advantage of
these free trials to perform "hit and runs".
Here's some hints:
1) Be wary of people who suddenly pop up out of nowhere and post messages
saying "I've got XXX hours of tapes. Let's trade."
2) Be doubly wary if these people *ONLY* post messages soliciting trades.
3) If they send you a tape list, check the HPB to see if they are REAL
shows.
4) Be wary of people who want you to send the tapes to a P.O. Box. If it's
an ".edu" account, don't be concerned if it's a box number in a dorm.
I may be a little paranoid, but I've never been burned.

I may be in the Windy City on Thursday night. I was wondering if anyone
could tell me if there are going to be any bands playing, or anything really
fun to do. If anyone could get back to me tonight that would be great.

I just thought I would share with all of
you the special gift which my girlfriend
arranged for me for Valentines Day. At
9pm last night, I get a nock on my door
and it is three random girls who I have
never seen before. They give me a card
from her and then start singing a beautiful
acapella version of My Sweet One. It was
truly amazing. What a gift.

is just AWESOME. As many times as I've heard the tape
(treeing will do that to ya' :) I STILL couldn't help but
dance around my living room last night when it came on.
Plus, how often do you get to hear Fishman sing about how
he forgot the lyrics??
Enjoy!

Seeing as this is starting to become phish.bitch.net, I'll add my $.02:
*People, please stop posting your tape lists to the entire net!!! If all of
the net.veterans (which I do NOT consider myself) did it, there would be no
room for any other posts --- USE PRIVATE EMAIL! Just how often does posting
your tape list help you find something anyway (or are you inendated by
clueless pholks who say "Wow! You have that show! Wanna tape it for me?")
*Timeliness: If you are using the usenet format to read rec.music.phish, take
a look at the date on the original post. Why respond to a note that was
posted a month ago? And please let that stupid cop car thread die (I'm really
sick of that one.
*If you're clueless, better to lurk than post. Examples: the Italian import
CD that was so professionally done that it couldn't be a "bootleg"; the Possum
isn't part of Gamehendge because it's not on my Gamehendge tape thread;
Acoustic Hooka is Phish touring under a different name (oh boy!), etc., etc.
Sorry to bitch so much, but the lack of substance on this net is reaching
critical mass, and it will soon explode and spew stupidity all across the
information superhighway if it's not caught in time.
And while we're at it, who's got that stupid ASCI picture of Barney saved - I
want to send it to Drew (the dick) everytime he clutters up the net with more
brainless banter (no smiley here).

Also, I think having some psychedelic experience helps appreciate the
tunes - though it

man, i whole-heartedly agree, psychedelics is the door through which many
of us travel to end our search. it seems as though we are all here for
something and we all must search for what that something is. some look into
literature (like me) some government, some religion, and some psychedelics.
shouldn't be anything wrong with that. let us do what we want to do!!!!

The PhishNet Screensaver is available via anonymous FTP from
ftp.phish.net. It's in the /pub/Phish/Software/PC/screensaver2
directory. To get the screensaver, do the following:
(run FTP - on Unix, you just type "ftp" at the shell prompt)
